The other day I was riding my bike down the street. I saw a
man riding a bike which had a one-wheel child’s bike attachment to it. The
child on the bike could pedal, but without being attached to his father’s bike,
the child’s bike wouldn't be able to move on its own. This represents my
relationship with God. God gives me the opportunity to make my own choices. I
have independence in what I think, how I act, where I go, or how fast I pedal.
At the same time, I am fully dependent on God. God guides me along my journey,
does the majority of the work, and sets the pace. I am grateful for God’s pedal
power on my daily journey!
